I PUT THE POOL PUMP ON BACKWARDS! (but it's fixed now) Setting up Vevor Pump
I was going to try the pavers as well, thanks for showing this.
That area could be tamminated with harsh chemicals. Maybe you should try composting. It will add nutrients and make worms.
Say on the deep of the pool is not 7ft
Leaf curl disease. Research it. MiGardener has videos on it.
….occasionally stops at red lights.
I absolutely love you I crack up every time I watch you because you do things like I do and NEVER GIVE UP 💕💕💕 I have a salt pump but need to add another better pump for water flow Grrrrr
hahahaha you should see the next pump i got last year, put it on backwards. i made a video after hahaha thank you, and yes i got a 1hp pump and it is great, its a vevor but not salt. check out my latest pool vids in the playlist girl!
Testing your soil, micro nutrients missing
sigh. yeah. i should you are right. maybe i should feed them then...
Not good may last 1year
still swimming- i fixed the pavers.
I am with you
finally!
Thanks sunshine
thank YOU
I'm getting a agp this Friday hope it goes well
This has to be satire
nope, truth the pool stores don't want you to hear
The hoses have rubber washers that go inside them. That's probably why the lines are leaking.
So glad you didn't lose your mind this year lol. Ive been watching all your videos since this is the first year me and my husband put up a pool. Man what a pain in the you know what leveling it , but we got it with about 1 in off so i was ok with that. Thanks for posting your experiences ive enjoyed watching them and taught me a lot 😊
Thank you mrs Cindy! this makes me very happy to read today! Thanks so much for taking the time and happy swimming to you and your family! We are having my 10 year old daughter's pool party / birthday today so i am glad to have a nice clean almost level pool!
I am trying to install this filter which mine is the 14 inch and the adapters won't work. They aren't small enough to go into the filter piece that's on the head of the sand filter so my intex tubes cant be used right now. I am ready to scream! I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Is there a video on how you did this?
As far as I know getting a cement slab poured is between two and $3500 not two or $300 And I really wouldn’t use pavers because the liner will sit in any of the creases and rub against it and eventually it’ll wear whole holes in it
yep yep and yep
$200 for a concrete pad? What plant you on?
as i said my husband said that and i knew he was wrong to start. haha
We have a Intex pool too it's not salt water and the frame is rusted out after 2 seasons it's just not salt water it's just these pools are CHEAP
oh wow that stinks! i got the XTR model this time, and changed to chlorine no salt. i am on season 3.
That pool on an angle.... OMG... I would have freaked out if my pool did that and I put it up! Anyway, the pavers pushing into the pool.... you gotta fix that. I adjust mine every year as I take it down for the winter so they never go up exactly where they should be. I dig under, backwards or forwards.. depending on how I set my pool that year and slide the base for the post in the direction I need to. The weight is not usually an issue for adjusting. It is heavy but doable. NEVER leave those pavers touching the pool liner. Every wave will rub until there's a hole and maybe even slice it cause a tsunami which can take down a house wall or fence! Or just flood a basement if it goes through a basement window! You can also adjust the pool posts while it is empty but you will still need some fine tuning on them when full. ( I always put a my own tarp under the pool too) I just set mine up with my son( first time with him) and filled a quarter of the way and noticed a leak.... grrrr...soaking our lawn now.. so, gotta get in there and find this leak.....NOT EASY as I walked around bent over trying to see a hole or slice on the floor of the liner but saw nothing. Heating up the water in there so I can lay down with snorkel and goggles to get a closer look. 4th or 5th year with this pool. My posts have very little rust at all but don't use salt water. Again for the pavers under the posts, why weren't you out there watching every half hour to see where pressure was building up on the pavers so you could slide them back a bit. Your posts will not shift inwards.. only away from pool. You can push them out so the post only has an inch of paver exposed on the inside towards the pool. My suggestion for putting up pools is to level out at least a foot wider than the pool, before setting up, for adjustments needed and adjust on the fly! Great video. I enjoyed watching this even though I developed anxiety when I saw the images of your mistakes... LOL... but nice that you showed the mistakes. Well done!
great advice, thanks for taking the time to share
When your not trying to save tadpoles, use a wet dry vac, we had algae water bottom two inches i vacuumed it put in a few hours and then bleached it same day took 6 hours total.
I literaly sucked in leaves and water logged soft apples with the algae water, i set up a table outside pool to hold vacuum above wheel barrow so i could open bottom drain on vacuum when it got full after 4 times i took water to compost pile. Did take about 10 runs and 40 drains.
When you went second round after hose clean did you go on recirculation instead of filter setting. You didn't specifi
i am not sure, i don't use recirculate much
*licks finger and puts it in the air* hmmm… yep… pool needs a shock.
What brush are you using
its just a basic one from amazon
You can buy an inline GFCI at any home improvement store. They're pretty cheap, but probably unnecessary in reality
😂
Piscine de mauvaise qualité sa arrive 😢 dommage pour vous 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨 bon courage à vous
cool here is your translation since you can't take the time to type in english (google translate) "Poor quality swimming pool is happening 😢 too bad for you 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨 good luck to you" good luck to you, we are swimming season 6!
Thank you for sharing im in the process of buying one
cool, happy swimming and check out other videos too. I have a lot in the playlist and i answer quickly and try to help if i can!
Wow lots of very helpful tips thanks for sharing
You mean mistakes hahah thank you for watching! Happy swimming!
@HappyFarmsLa Mayb I’ll make a quick vid after i build mine lol. Use keyword ‘Comedy’ to find it 😆 1 person with no money and no sand… & most importantly NO experience. But I got a 15ft pool for free and 2 kids that are waiting to swim so yea… wish meet luck.
Please help what hoses and adapters are you using
I set my pool up on a 6" perfectly level pad of sand over clay soil and it sank into the clay so badly that water came over the top. I figured it would sink a little but not nearly as much as it did. I am starting over next week. I really don't want to pour a slab. I may just go the paver route. As the pavers sink I can just add more to level it.
we had sinkage too! yes on the pavers but of course make sure they can't touch the liner of the pool. soft ground is so tough!
Extra teflon tape could work,
Love this! I was just wondering how mine are going to act this week with no rain and highs in the upper 80/ low 90s in Kansas
You shall see!
You should take your shoes off your cleaning the pool
oh i do at the end after all the gunk is out
This Kyl Lil ol gal is so cute
I am on year 4 of solo winter pool cleanup and filter installation! I still always come to you every year for support! 🎉❤Thank you!!
high five. did it alone again this year too! happy swimming and thank you so much!!
Easier way take poles out get under lift up from bottom man’s job thoe but just for mother n kids great way show them hard work and responsibility
lol man's job ok wrong channel buddy. jk ha ha
Hi there I saw your video ,I bought the same pump and I spent a whole Sunday trying to hook it up and the pump still not working I get no pressure and the needle on the gauge not moving I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.,any idea what could be
hmm. make sure all your connections are solid. is it pushing water out at all? make sure the flow is open (there are places where you can switch off the water flow on your hoses) I am sorry I can't be of more help I know that is frustrating.
How many pavers ??
how many legs does your pool have? that many
@@HappyFarmsLa well I was asking because I was not around my pool to count the legs at the time I was at Lowe’s looking at pavers that you suggested from your video, we have the same pool that’s why I asked but thanks anyway 👎🏽
As it was filling I added pieces of carpet where the pavers could possibly touch
good job!
Looks good, I plan to grow garlic next year.
Question, how do you keep animals like squirrels, rabbits, and groundhogs out of your garden? Or really animals in general?
ha! well...i don't . but i keep it close to the house so deer dont come as much, (dogs) but last year deer ate so much, even my peppers! so..yeah..plant it anyway. squirrels don't eat plants really...
@@HappyFarmsLa Glad you aren't having problems at least. The squirrels haven't been eating my plants, but they've been uprooting the small ones and stuffing nuts in the holes. I've never had this problem before.
@@MidnightreaderYT oh wow.
Hey I open my pool and set up the pump and filter but when I turn it on the pressure pushes the water bro good and just one hour it stops pushing water through the jet what advice can u help me with I will much appreciate it
oh I sure can't give you advice from here. that is strange it is just stopping after an hour or so! I am sorry I can't be more help!
@@HappyFarmsLa th u
This is exactly what im doing tomorrow. We were rescuing tadpoles today 😂
start early! Ha! happy cleaning!
Should have watched your video first. 4 hours trying to get last topper to connect. Never thought of putting upper rail all together first. Wow it worked. Now to put the legs in 👏👏👏👏👏
You are not alone, we did that the first try too! Good luck and remember to make sure it is all good as you fill, support your legs with pavers or bricks dug into the ground so they don't sink if your ground is soft. and make sure they are dug in so they don't poke into your pool liner, watch my other video of mistakes to avoid here : ruclips.net/video/KuHuOTwVveY/видео.htmlsi=m6wDJPq2tJ43BZW0
Thank you for your videos I'm on year 2 with my pool and it's been such a stressful thing! Lol wasn't level, legs too far in pavers cut into the liner had to get a new one this year. Think we got it level but pavers still to close seems better. Now my filter is constantly saying low salt. Ugh! Appreciate you.
oh dear yes I did the same thing with my pavers!! they didnt cut thankfully but it stressed me out so bad all season i felt like a failure. I have new videos and i am off the salt now cause my pump died and i got a regular one. maybe add salt...they do make salt test strips
Make sure to always shut the power of before switching modes, you can severely damage the selector. But good information otherwise, you should back wash for at least a minute or until the water is clear and rinse for 20 to 30 seconds
thanks! i do turn it off now, did i not in the video..lol i was a newb! this year the labels have worn off my pump...so i am guessing
I'm not sure if you did or didn't I was just giving advice haha
Rubber coat the poles like I did no rust
im just about to install a 16x32 Intex pool. I am happy to see how tough they are to stand up to being filled off level. Wow. I've been in a pool when it broke. Its actually VERY dangerous. I've only been hurt worse in motorcycle accidents. In my case, it broke towards a 250lb sand filter. The filter won that fight and 5 ribs lost. Be careful around a bulging pool like that. Ton and tons of force waiting to hammer you into the ground or across whatever is in the way.
gosh! what a crazy story. we are all good and just 2 inches off level now. that was a bad choice for sure. Happy swimming to you!
I have a question, do you cut the limbs if the leaves starts to turn brown on them? Also, what food do you give your blackberry plants in its season?
I dont feed them or water them- they are too far from the house, so i let god do it. So the limbs: i trim in early spring - you can tell the older ones are super woody, those i cut off at the base so new ones can grow. hope that helps!
The garlic looks good to me. Farming is hard work.
I might need to hire you to help me with my garden
